DUBLIN EXPERIENCE
Each was placed in a different course, attended by people of various ages and from different parts of the world, which allowed them to socialise and improve their interpersonal skills, as well as to learn about cultures and people from countries very different from our own.
Cultural value:
The stay in Dublin represented an important opportunity for cultural enrichment. The city, rich in history, traditions and artistic vibrancy, allowed the participants to come into direct contact with Irish culture. Learning about local customs, traditions and lifestyles fostered greater open-mindedness and a deeper understanding of the European context, strengthening a sense of active and informed citizenship.
Language progress:
As previously mentioned, the participants were placed in different classes, based on their language proficiency, alongside students from various parts of the world. This diversity made the learning experience particularly stimulating and dynamic. The constant use of English, both in an academic setting and in daily life, led to a significant improvement in communication skills, particularly in listening and speaking, as well as greater confidence in interacting with others.
Socialisation and international dimension:
The experience fostered socialisation and intercultural exchange. Interacting with people of different nationalities allowed participants to engage with diverse perspectives, learning methods and cultural backgrounds. This has helped to develop key transferable skills, such as adaptability, intercultural communication and working in international contexts.
Tourism aspects:
During their stay, the participants had the opportunity to visit the main places of interest in Dublin and the surrounding area. These included historic sites, museums and stunning natural landscapes. The extracurricular activities further enriched the experience, allowing the participants to combine language learning with exploring the local area.
Value of the Erasmus+ project:
In conclusion, the experience in Dublin proved to be extremely positive in every respect. The skills acquired and the relationships forged represent a valuable asset that can be put to good use within our home school, helping to innovate teaching practices and strengthen the European dimension of our institution.
